Ebony loves to talk about reading and writing! She is available for school and library visits, conferences, workshops, book club meetings, festivals, and just about any venue where she can chat about books! Ebony will tailor each visit to fit the needs of your audience and sign books too.

| 1. You have a story idea! Now what? |
| This visit will focus on the next steps to take once you have a story idea in mind and you are ready to start writing. Participants will discuss choosing a genre, establishing writing habits, story organization, using outlines, critique groups, and searching for an agent. |

| 2. Identifying Race in literature: |
| This is a discussion on the importance of race in literature and how multicultural main characters help shape young minds, affect school performance, and enhance human development. Participants will use sample children’s stories to address these topics. |

| 3. SELLOUT: |
| This visit will focus on the novel SELLOUT. Participants will read an Excerpt from the book and use discussion questions to chat about the book. Participants should read the novel prior to this discussion and be ready to write their own beginning and ending to the story to share with the group. |

| 4. Let’s Write Together: |
| This is a writing workshop. Participants should bring their own story ideas and be prepared to write, give feedback, share with a small group, and discuss ways to improve your writing. Story writing prompts will be available. |
